Rev. Marvin George Rothfusz was born at Ashley, ND, on September 15, 1932, to Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Rothfusz. He was baptized in Zion Lutheran, Ashley, November 13, 1932, and confi rmed there in June 1948.
He attended Wartburg College. In June 1958 he was graduated from Wartburg Seminary, Dubuque, IA, and was ordained in Zion Lutheran, Ashley, ND. He served the Ebenezer-St. Paul Parish at Stickney, SD, before coming to Immanuel in 1963.
In 1966 he went to work at Augsburg Publishing House, Minneapolis, as curriculum editor. He went to Marshall, MN, in 1968 where he served as assistant pastor at First English Lutheran. In 1974 Marvin resigned from the ministry and worked for the local threecounty Head Start Program. Marvin also hired out to work at the local Green Giant Cannery until retiring in 1995.
He was married to Judith Reinke of Milwaukee in 1957. Their children are Lans (Georgia), Nyls (Nevada), Thia (Minnesota) and Vona (Missouri).
Marvin and Judith Rothfusz celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2007. They are currently residing in Glencoe, MN, where they live in an Assisted Living apartment in order to provide them with necessary medical care services.
