Rev. Norman Sulaica, Jr. was born November 20, 1962, to Norman and Dorothy Mae Sulaica in San Antonio, TX. He was baptized and confi rmed in St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church there. Pastor Norm attended public school in the San Antonio Independent School District, where he graduated from Sam Houston High School in May 1981.
In the fall of 1981, he began his college studies in Computer Systems Management with an emphasis in Theological Studies. God’s call to ordained ministry led him to Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, OH, to begin his studies and training for the ordained ministry. In 1987 he served as an intern missionary in Tokyo, Japan. This short-term call allowed him to serve in three special churches: St. Paul International Lutheran Church, Shiniku Lutheran Church, and Lutheran Church for Teachers. He completed his educational studies in November of 1990, and was ordained on February 17, 1991.
Pastor Norm was married to Laura Fogt May 27, 1989. God blessed this couple with four blessings: Elisabeth, Jonathan, Adrianna and Sophia.
Pastor Norm began his service to God as an ordained pastor on March 1, 1991, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Hickory Grove, outside of Auburn, NE. In the summer of 1995, the family traveled to northeast Nebraska to join the family of Immanuel Lutheran. In 2003 Pastor Norm, Laura and their family received a call to Our Savior Lutheran Church in Three Rivers, Texas, where they presently reside and serve.
